Blake Shelton Says People ‘Just Feel Sorry’ For Adam Levine On ‘The Voice’

Blake Shelton had some choice words about his longtime The Voice co-coach Adam Levine. In a new outtake video from the latest blind audition stages shared by Parade this week, Blake jokingly revealed that he has a theory for why Levine’s been getting people on his team during the Season 15 auditions which are currently airing on NBC.

“Adam can’t lose can he?” the country superstar asked his fellow coaches Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson in the hilarious outtake video as the father of two stepped away from the blind auditions, before Blake then quipped, “I think people just feel sorry for him.”

“Is that what it is?” Hudson then asked, to which Shelton playfully joked that The Voice contestants feel sorry for the Maroon 5 frontman because he “hasn’t won the show since 1988.”

Hudson and Clarkson then laughed along with the singer’s jab at their fellow coach, with the “Since U Been Gone” singer quipping, “Oh God!” after hearing his remarks.

In reality, Adam last won The Voice back in 2015 during Season 9 with contestant Jordan Smith. He’s won the show twice more since first appearing on the very first season seven years ago in 2011, becoming a winning coach with Tessanne Chin during Season 5 and Javier Colon during Season 1.

The new outtake video also shows Levine getting into a bit of trouble while trying to drink some water from his cup, only to end up with the beverage going up his nose, while he also accidentally ignores Kelly when she tries to speak to him in between auditions.

Clarkson also jokes about her hair in the video, which prompted a pretty disgusted reaction from Adam.

“I could tune a car with the amount of oil in my hair,” Kelly confessed as she sat in her infamous red spinning chair, “and I can’t stop touching it because it feels so soft because it is so oily.”

Levine, who was pretty busy on his phone, then quipped of her hair situation, “Ewww!”

The latest sneak peek behind the scenes at The Voice Season 15 comes shortly after Clarkson and Levine revealed their big plans to team up against Shelton in the hopes of getting the mom of two a country artist on her team.

As the Inquisitr previously shared, Kelly recently admitted that she wants a country artist on Team Kelly this year after winning the show last year. Adam confessed that he’s firmly standing by the former American Idol winner to help her get a country act instead of Blake, who usually lands the majority of the genre’s singers on his side.

The Voice Season 15 airs on NBC on both Monday and Tuesday nights with coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson, and Kelly Clarkson.
