Felicity Jones Joins James Franco And Jonah Hill In ‘True Story’ Film

It looks like there may be some movement on the film True Story. The film, which stars Jonah Hill and James Franco, now has a new rising starlet attached in the form of Felicity Jones. It was announced over a year ago that both Franco and Hill were attached to play pivotal roles for the Brad Pitt produced picture, and then nothing was heard ever again about it.

Now with Felicity Jones attached to star, it seems like we may be hearing more information on True Story in the coming months. True Story is based on former New York Times reporter Michael Fink, who was fired from the publication, and then discovered that a dangerous serial killer in Mexico had used his identity. As a criminal, Christian Longo made it on the top of the FBI Ten Most Wanted List by murdering his entire family. Many reporters were after the story, but Longo only wanted one man to cover it, and that was Michael Finkel.

The film is said to center around Finkel’s memoir True Story: Murder, Memoir, Mea Culpa, which according to CinemaBlend is being prepped for adaptation. The film stars Jonah Hill as Michael Finkel, and James Franco as Christian Lono. Now Felicity Jones is set to play Finkel’s “long-suffering” girlfriend. In addition to the role, Jones will be seen this summer in the film Amazing Spider-Man 2, which will definitely give her a much needed US exposure.

We’ll keep you posted on this film. Considering Brad Pitt’s Plan B has only produced films that go straight to the Oscars, this will be one to watch for sure.
