John Travolta ‘Gay Lawsuit’ Headed To Trial
The “gay lawsuit” against John Travolta is headed to court. A federal judge ruled that the sailor claiming the star sexually assaulted him can go forward. Travolta’s request that the claims be settled during an arbitration hearing was denied.
Fabian Zanzi is suing the 58-year-old movie star for infliction of emotional distress, battery, and assault, Radar Online reports. Gay rumors have followed the Pulp Fiction star during recent years. Zanzi claims that John Travolta sexually assaulted him in 2009. The Chilean-born sailor was working for Royal Caribbean at the time. Doug Gotterba, a former pilot, has also issued claims regarding supposed homosexual behavior by the movie star, TMZ reports.
The sailor accusing Travolta of assaulting him was tasked with taking care of Royal Caribbean VIP guests. During an interview South American News, Fabian Zanzi had this to say:
“He [John Travolta] had something on his neck. I thought it was fuzz. As I approached, he took off his white coat and was naked. He hugged me and asked me to do a massage.”
The sailor also maintains he was offered $12,000 to do have sex with the movie star. Zanzi claims he refused the cash allegedly offered for the intimate encounter. Travolta denies all allegations related to the supposed encounter.
The arbitration attempt cited the fine print at the bottom of John Travolta’s Royal Caribbean ticket. When pushing to keep the charges from reaching open court, the star’s legal team pointed out the company’s dispute resolution policy. Travolta’s ticket reportedly noted that any problem between a staffer and a passenger be sent to arbitration.
Judge Stephen Wilson denied the arbitration request in a 31-page ruling released late last week. John Travolta married Kelly Preston in 1991. The couple had three children together. The eldest, Jett, died in 2009. Travolta and Preston also have a daughter, Ella Bleu, and a young son, Benjamin.
