Supermodel Bar Refaeli Super Bowl Ad: Nerd Co-Star Says ‘I Won The Championship Of Men’
Besides Joe Flacco and company, there was another Super Bowl champion crowned last night: “Walter.”
Supermodel Bar Refaeli’s Super Bowl commercial co-star appeared on Dennis and Callahan’s Boston sports radio show this morning on WEEI to talk about his experiences as the GoDaddy.com “spokesnerd.”
Actor and self-admitted nerd Jesse Heiman (“Walter” in the Go Daddy Bar Refaeli commercial) claimed his role opposite the supermodel means that he “won the championship of men.”
Heiman — a Boston native — quipped that “I’m fine representing nerds… we’re taking over.”
Heiman admitted it was “so cool” appearing in an “iconic GoDaddy.com commercial” for the Super Bowl (see uncensored version below) and that the ad has resulted in record sales and new customers.
As far as his career aspirations, Heiman said his phone and his agent’s phone have been buzzing since the commercial aired (and prior to that was released on the internet).
As far as the rumor about the commercial taking more than 40 takes, Heiman was noncommital: “I don’t remember how many takes… it felt like paradise to me.” He conceded that a lot of lip balm and six bottles of mouthwash were used up during the commercial shoot.
Heiman described Bar Refaeli as a “smart, sexy businesswoman, and I’m happy to have met her… she’s an amazing kisser.”
In response to a question about his show-business idols, Heiman — who believe it or not gave his age as 34 — mentioned Seth Rogen and the late John Candy. He admitted that he doesn’t have a girlfriend but that his newfound fame via the Bar Refaeli Super Bowl commercial will give him “some options” for Valentine’s Day.
Heiman expressed similar sentiments to TMZ:
“I have girls run up to me and take pictures with me, tweet me for dates…
“There are lots of inquiries coming in to my agent and manager, their phone has been ringing off the hook, but they are really letting me enjoy the moment right now.”
In the radio interview, he said that he is open to all acting opportunities, whether on TV or in the movies, or even hosting his own show.
