‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ Special Edition Bundled With ‘Red Son’ DLC

Those looking for an expanded version of the upcoming brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us will likely be very interested in the upcoming Special Edition.

Fighting game fanatics living in the UK will be able to pick up a unique version of the game when it lands on retail shelves in the coming months. According to Joystiq, a special edition version of the title comes packaged in a “Steelbook” and features the Red Son DLC.

The add-on presents an alternate timeline in which Superman was raised by folks living in the Soviet Union. The 20-mission pack awards players with alternate costumes for Superman, Wonder Woman, and Solomon Grunday.

Although the UK is getting a pretty cool special edition of Injustice: Gods Among Us, Armchair brawlers living in the United States won’t miss out on the Red Son DLC. Cinema Blend reports that anxious gamers who pre-order their copy of the title from Gamestop will get the expansion pack as an added bonus.

The official for the fighter reads:

“What if our greatest heroes became our greatest threat? ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ debuts as a bold new fighting game franchise that introduces a deep, original story featuring favorite DC Comics icons such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy and others. Injustice: Gods Among Us was crafted by the folks at NetherRealms, the company responsible for Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe and the incredibly enjoyable Mortal Kombat reboot.
