Dude Looks Like A Lady! Steven Tyler Auditions For ‘American Idol’ In Drag [Video]

Aerosmith frontman and former American Idol judge Steven Tyler made a surprise appearance on the show Thursday.

Wearing a wig, red lipstick, and women’s clothing, Tyler walks out to a confused panel of judges.

“What the what,” Randy Jackson says before asking Tyler his name. He says his name is “Pepper LaBeija,” the drag queen profiled in the 1990 film Paris is Burning. Jackson asks what he’s going to do and he says, “I’m going to sing a song called, ‘Tell Your Ma, Tell Your Pa, Our Love Going To Grow, Wah Wah.'”

After exchanging a bit of playful banter, Tyler tells the judges that he is going to judge them first.

“Unlike you men, the roosters may crow, but the hens deliver the goods,” he says, and Nicki Minaj calls out, “Steven Tyler!” The judges applaud as Tyler raises his arms in triumph and asks, “Do I go through to Hollywood or what?”

Jackson asks if Tyler’s chest has grown, to which he responds by honking his breasts before whipping off his wig and tossing what looks like a sock at Jackson. Tyler then says he won’t be going to Hollywood and walks away as Jackson says, “I think Boston [Tyler’s hometown] is in your future.” Tyler lifts his skirt, mooning the judges, as Minaj says, “That is a sight a to be seen!”

Outside of the audition room, Tyler puts the wig on Ryan Seacrest who asks, “Now who looks better in the wig?”
