Donna Savattere: Dan Marino's Mistress Is Also Married, Has Another Daughter

Donna Savattere, the mistress of NFL legend Dan Marino and mother to his love child, has herself been living with another family after keeping her tryst with Marino a secret for more than seven years.

On Thursday, the New York Post revealed that the legendary Miami Dolphins quarterback had an affair with Savattere in 2005 when she was a production assistant with CBS. Marino has worked as a pregame analyst for CBS in its Sunday football coverage since 2003, and he and Donna Savattere are alleged to have conceived their child at CBS Sports’ studio in Manhattan.

Dan Marino admitted to the affair and noted that he tried to keep it private out of respect for Savattere and his own family.

“This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then,” he told The Post in a written statement. “We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.”

Donna Savattere apparently had the same intention. As Hollywood Life points out, she moved on from her affair with Dan Marino and married Nahil Younis in 2009. They have a child together as well.

Dan Marino has six children with his wife of 28 years, Claire. He noted that they are staying together and “continue to be a strong and loving family.”

While many in the sports world were shocked to learn that the once squeaky clean Marino had been hiding the affair and love child, they were equally intrigued to learn details about Donna Savattere. Her name was one of the top Google searches on Thursday.

If Dandy Dan was so worried about respect for his family, he'd never have knocked up another woman. Years ago, he'd lose his endorsements and CBS Sports commentator job. Frank Gifford had some fallout for a similar affair. But I doubt they'll care and Marino will be on the Super Bowl tomorrow night, like nothing happened. He's lucky Clair doesn't own any golf clubs!
