If J.J. Abrams had directed the original Star Wars, it would have had a much different feel in terms of its emotional undertones. To prove that point, the team at UnusualSuspect2011 (YouTube) created a Star Trek: Into Darkness mashup with the original Star Wars trailer.

As expected, the trailer is awesome. Sure, it is just the Star Wars trailer with Star Trek: Into Darkness musical accompaniment, but it is those decisions that have made J.J. Abrams so good at what he does.

The video was uploaded on January 26 and has already received more than 118,000 pageviews.

I particularly enjoy the Star Wars: Into Darkness logo at the end of the trailer.
