ESPN Reporters Accidentally Share Tim Tebow Gossip On Air [Video]

If you were watching ESPN today you may have witnessed something extremely rare on the sports channel: Someone actually saying something bad about Tim Tebow.

Reporters Hannah Storm and Mark Schlereth were having a “private chat”today during the media day in New Orleans. Only the chat wasn’t so private. The cameras were actually rolling and the audience could hear Schlereth trash talking Tebow to Storm.

Schlereth doesn’t say anything particular damaging (or interesting) about Tim Tebow but he does share the news like a schoolyard gossip.

Schlereth said:

“I’m going to tell you. I talked to a bunch of Broncos coaches who said ‘I just don’t know if (Tebow’s) a fluid enough athlete to go over and play tight end … they say he doesn’t catch the ball naturally either.”

Tim Tebow is a quarterback despite what the Jets tried to do with him this year so it shouldn’t really be considered insulting that he can’t “naturally” make the move to tight end. How would Peyton Manning look if he had to run instead of throw? Can you picture Tom Brady actually taking a hit?

The gossip isn’t particularly interesting but hey, a blooper is a blooper.

Here’s the video of Schlereth insulting Tim Tebow on ESPN.
