‘America’s Next Top Model’ Star Lisa D’Amato Breaks Nose During Accident [Photo]

America’s Next Top Model star Lisa D’Amato posted a series of gruesome photos after injuring her face while attempting to perform a handstand.

The winner of the America’s Next Top Model: All Stars season posted several images of her wounds on Instagram and Facebook last week. According to the Daily Mail, D’Amato suffered a broken nose while “monkey around” on the set of her new movie.

D’Amato said she was attempting to do a handstand with an unidentified crew member when the accident took place. Instead of executing the maneuver, the Top Model winner said her partner fell on top of her. The end result of the stunt was made public on Instagram and Facebook.

Lisa D’Amato explained to People:

“It was a totally freak accident. It wasn’t like we were doing back flips off the balcony.

“I looked at my hands. They were covered with blood. That’s when I thought, ‘Oh, my God, what did I do to myself?’ Of course, I started crying. I didn’t have the best nose in the world to begin with. It gave me character. Now I have a nice little nose job. I get a super cute nose.”

In order to the lighten the mood, D’Amato said she tried to crack jokes with the cast and crew. However, she said she was secretly freaking out inside.

Once she was taken to the emergency room, the Top Model alum was referred to a plastic surgeon. Lisa D’Amato documented her recovery online.

After her treatment is complete, D’Amato said she will then embark on a belated honeymoon. Following her much-needed vacation, she will then begin work on a television pilot.
