Beyonce Answers Lip-Sync Debate With Three Not So Cryptic Words

Beyonce appears to have answered the lip-sync controversy that has engulfed her following last Monday’s presidential inauguration in Washington D.C.

After knocking out an apparently flawless “The Star Spangled Banner” at the ceremony, it was subsequently reported that Beyonce had mimed her vocals to a pre-recorded taping.

It should be noted however that no named source has definitively confirmed it was a lip-synched performance,

While the row raged, celebrities like Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Lopez, Cindi Lauper, Alicia Keys and others put their two cents in, and the matter was even brought up at a recent White House press briefing, Politico notes.

Throughout all of that brouhaha, Beyonce has said nothing — until now.

Ahead of her much anticipated halftime show at the upcoming Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, Beyonce posted a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos from her rehearsal to her Instagram account and official website on Saturday.

Interesting as those reveals were however, it is the latest photo showing the 31-year-old wearing a B-Side “Can I Live?” Crew Neck sweater that has sparked a fresh round of media debate.

Adding to the intrigue is the fact that the sweater message can be interpreted in at least two ways.

One, it’s a pointed message from “Queen Bey” to the shrill chorus that has slammed her over the past days for not singing totally live at the inauguration.

Or, it could simply be a reference to a song of the same name on husband Jay-Z’s 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt.

Beyonce’s Super Bowl day of reckoning will see her reunite with Destiny’s Child bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, at some point during her solo show.

Us Weekly magazine claims to have inside information about the DC3 set list, citing past hits “Bills, Bills, Bills,” “Survivor” and the recently unwrapped new song “Nuclear,” as some of the songs fans can expect to hear.

One thing America will be expecting on February 3 is a live vocal performance from Beyonce. Us quotes a source as saying the Houston native “can’t wait to get on the Super Bowl stage and show everyone.”

Neither can we Mrs Knowles-Carter, neither can we.
