Tiger Woods said to be “seriously injured” in car crash


Tiger Woods was hospitalized following a single car accident 2:25 a.m. near his home in Windermere, FL.

CNN says Woods was “seriously injured” when, while pulling out of his driveway, his Cadillac SUV struck a fire hydrant. The vehicle then collided with a tree. Woods was taken to Health Central Hospital nearby, although the nature and extent of his injury or injuries was undisclosed. Woods may have already been released from the hospital, as staff denied he was being treated there when contacted.

According to CNN, charges are pending in the crash, although it is not clear who may be charged. The crash is under investigation, and alcohol is not thought to be a factor.
