Fall Out Boy Reunion Rumors Allegedly Confirmed

Fall Out Boy reunion rumors have allegedly been confirmed. Previous Fall Out Boy reunion rumors circulated more than once in 2012, but the band adamantly denied them. But now multiple sources have confirmed that the Sugar We’re Goin’ Down band are getting back together.

Information on the Fall Out Boy reunion is fairly scant at this point. The rumor first began on the PropertyOfZack website with this simple message:

“PropertyOfZack has confirmed with several trusted sources that Fall Out Boy are reuniting after a three year-plus hiatus. Fans should expect an official announcement in the near future. “

The Fall Out Boy reunion rumors continued further, with PupFresh following suit as they claimed that the bandwill be playing the Skate & Surf Festival and touring this spring.” No official word has been heard from the band but fans are ecstatic that the band might continue where they left off in 2008 with their fifth and, perhaps, final album Folie à Deux.

PopCrush explains what the Fall Out Boy have been doing with their lives these past couple years:

“The band went on hiatus three years ago, with each member pursuing their own side projects. Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley joined the Damned Things; Hurley also played for bands the Burning Empires and Enabler. Frontman Patrick Stump went for a solo career, releasing the critically acclaimed ‘Soul Punk,’ while Wentz, arguably the highest profile member of the band, joined the Black Cards. None of the projects achieved commercial success, leading industry insiders to speculate that a reunion was only a matter of time.”
