Simon Cowell To Make A Movie About A Dancing Dog

Simon Cowell is preparing to make a movie about a dancing dog that he met on Britain’s Got Talent.

Cowell’s production company, Syco, is working in conjunction with Vertigo Films, who created the likes of Street Dance 3D and Monsters, to co-produce, Pudsey: The Movie.

Pudsey, alongside his trainer Ashleigh Butler, won the 2012 talent competition, which searched for the most talented people across Britain. The Hollywood Reporter has stated that the movie will be for the entire family and that it is scheduled to be released around Christmas 2013.

When Pudsey was declared the winner of the show in May, the finale was watched by 14.5 million viewers, but the pair have gone on to become a YouTube sensation, and their videos have achieved over 12 million hits.

Since then the pair have also performed across the world and have made various appearances on The Jay Leno Show and America’s Got Talent.

This isn’t the first time that Cowell has ventured into the movie market as he is currently overseeing Morgan Spurlock’s documentary about X-Factor contestant One Direction as well as David Frankel’s biopic One Chance, which revolves around Paul Potts, Britain’s Got Talent’s first ever winner in 2007.

Cowell has recently been in the headlines for his romantic endeavors. At the start of the year, he was seen of several dates with the model, Carmen Electra, whom he met on the panel for Britain’s Got Talent, but he has since been seen on holiday with another bevy of beauties.

Are you excited for a film about Ashleigh and her dancing dog, Pudsey?
