Lindsay Lohan Allegedly Refused Rehab Plea Bargain, Wants To Take Her Chances At Trial

Lindsay Lohan allegedly rejected a plea bargain which would have landed her in rehab, but kept her out of jail. The beleaguered actress is facing criminal charges related to a Santa Monica car accident last summer. The former Disney star is accused of lying to police about who was driving at the time of the crash.

A Radar Online source claims that Lohan turned down a deal for a nine month stint in rehab. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Lindsay fired attorney Shawn Holley just moments before the court hearing. Lindsay is now represented by Mark Heller. The attorney previously had his law license suspended for five years.

The source had this to say about Lindsay Lohan’s plea offer:

“Mark believes he can get Lindsay acquitted of all criminal charges stemming from her car accident in Santa Monica last summer. Lindsay has convinced Mark that she neverl iedto cops when they asked her if she was driving the car that day. There was a plea bargain offer on the table for nine months, but she absolutely refused that. Mark won’t sign off on a deal that sends Lindsay to rehab for more than 60 days.”

There is allegedly a possibility that Lindsay will testify in her own defense when the case goes to trial. The actress supposedly feels that once a jury hears her speak about the accident, they will let her off the hook, PerezHilton notes.

Lindsay Lohan is due back in court on January 30. Once the criminal proceedings conclude for the day, Lohan will face the judge on a probation violation.

Do you think Lohan should take a rehab plea deal? Would another stint in rehab help the actress stay out of trouble in the future?
