Taylor Swift Is Rapunzel In New Disney Parks Ad

Normally Taylor Swift is a girl who can’t escape love. Well, in the new ads for Disney Parks Swift is seen portraying a fairy tale character that has been locked away from love. The country singer and tabloid headline stealer is seen letting her locks down as Disney’s Rapunzel.

The ad which is called “Where A World of Adventure Awaits” is a spot that features many artists and not just Swift. The spot features Jennifer Lopez, model Gisele Bundchen, Beyonce, and actresses such as Jessica Biel, Julianne Moore, and Scarlett Johansson. Sounds like a random group of people. The group of girls, including Swift are part of an ongoing Disney Dream Portrait campaign.

Taylor Swift opened up to E! about the Disney campaign and her role as Rapunzel saying: “When Disney came to me and said we want you to play Rapunzel, I was just so honored. It’s such a wonderful character to get to play, a childhood fantasy come into reality for me.”

Of course this is kind of perfect for Taylor Swift, despite her troubled love life, because the singer got her start singing Disney tunes. Although it wasn’t professionally speaking, it definitely sparked Swift’s career. Taylor elaborated on her connection to Disney saying:

“My parents realized I was really obsessed with [singing] when I’d go up to strangers and sing Lion King songs. I think about all the times me and my little brother went to Disney World and we were able to escape to that place anytime we had a hard time. Any time you’re going through something rough, you can go back into your imagination and you’re at Disney World.”
