The Obamas Star In Upcoming ‘Personalizable’ Erotic Novel
Get ready for Fifty Shades of Grey, Obama Edition. A tacky publisher is moving forward with the release of an erotic novel starring the First Family.
MSN reports that an upcoming erotic novel, described as “fan fiction,” focuses on the sexy side of President Obama’s White House. We can neither confirm nor deny whether or not the book, titled GuestHouse Games, started its ignoble literary life as Twilight fan fiction or not.
According to Pop Culture Public Relations, the firm that represents UStarNovels, the book’s publisher, the novel will be “personalizable,” will indeed use the first couple’s actual names, and will be published online, free of charge, on January 28.
“Barack and Michelle Obama Star in This Erotic, Romantic Novel,” said their official statement.
If you’re still with me at this point, you may be asking: What does all this mean? What am I to make of it? I’m afraid I can’t really help you there. What does it mean, “personalizable?” Is it like a choose-your-own-adventure erotic novel? How are they getting away with using Barack and Michelle Obama’s actual names? Even porn flicks can’t do that. Why will it be published online, and free? Because no one will read it otherwise?
And to sweeten the pot, here, I kid you not, is the synopsis via National Review: The Obamas, “alone in their isolated beachfront guesthouse in the tropical paradise of Kailua, Hawaii,” are “drawn into the ancient Hawaiian spiritual world and into the exploration of their own deepest and most forbidden desires.”
This one might skyrocket to the top of Chris Matthews’ bookshelf, but probably not anywhere else.
