Ex-Steelers Coach Cowher Not A Fit For Bills; Not Interested In Post

Buffalo, NY (AHN) – The Buffalo Bills have approached former Steelers coach Bill Cowher, asking him if he wants the vacant head coaching job. Cowher has denied them, however, not wishing to be interviewed.
That leaves former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan as a front runner to become the Bills next coach. He’s expected to interview with them next week.
Cowher has been asked by many teams to join up since retiring from coaching at the end of 2006.
He originally was offered the head coach position of the Steelers back in 1992. His overall record was 149-90-1.
If there is one thing Cowher is looking for in a team, it’s namely an established quarterback with talent.
While he has not denied interest in coaching again, he has resolved himself not to consider any vacancies until the end of the season.
He is currently working as a pregame analyst for CBS.
