Kris Humphries indirectly started a Twitter feud with JR Smith after the Garden game Monday, causing some to question whether or not Smith’s targeted response was a bit below the belt.
After the Brooklyn Nets’ victory over the New York Knicks Monday, forward Kris Humphries sent out a taunting message on Twitter. JR Smith picked it up and didn’t take too kindly to the message, sending back a personal jab at Humphries.
Smith’s jab back involved Humphries’ highly-publicized divorce from reality starlet Kim Kardashian: Specifically, it referenced the fact that Kardashian is currently pregnant with Kanye West’s baby, despite still being married to Humphries (officially).
Now, the Nets have become a huge rival for the Knicks since moving to Brooklyn at the start of this season. New location notwithstanding, it seems as though some of the players are developing a deep animosity for each other.
Still, things are going well for the Nets, reports USA Today. They’ve won 10 of 12 games since PJ Carlesimo took over as head coach, including Monday’s Madison Square Garden victory.
However, the Nets’ star forward Humphries has been experiencing personal troubles lately. He has spent the last two seasons fighting back against criticism and mockery regarding his 72-day marriage to Kim Kardashian, which has only compounded since the announcement that she is pregnant with Kanye West’s child.
Enter Humphries bragging about the Nets’ win:
Big game tonight! The Garden got really quiet on the way out!#Brooklyn
