Biting: Woman Loses Thumb During Argument, Man Loses Part Of An Ear


A Palm Bay, Florida man, 35-year-old Ricardo Marquis Davis, confessed to biting off his girlfriend’s thumb. He was driving her to work at Taco Bell at the time, when the fight escalated, and he bit off her thumb and spit it out onto the floorboard. The girlfriend arrived for treatment at the hospital on Wednesday, and staff contacted police. Doctors were unable to reattach her thumb. WPTV reports Davis is being held in the Brevard County Jail on aggravated battery charges.

Steve Bolin, 53, of DeLand, Florida was assaulted by his 32-year-old girlfriend, Sarah Wulchak. Police reports indicate that Wulchak was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and causing bodily harm/disability. She bit off half her boyfriend’s ear as an argument got out of control last Monday evening in Bolin’s home. Bolin did not immediately report the incident until he could no longer tolerate how his mangled ear looked, but was tentative about pressing charges, according to the Daily Mail.

A 70-year-old woman was attacked in El Paso, Texas by her grandson’s female pit bull, and lost a thumb, according to Big News Network. The attack happened Saturday afternoon while the unidentified septuagenarian was visiting her grandson. El Paso County Deputies were forced to put the animal down when they arrived at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital where doctors said they’d attempt to reattach her thumb.

Recently 10-year-old Matthew Weaver of Kentucky was mauled by a pit bull. Reports from Fox News indicate the child was visiting a home in Henderson County. Matthew was sitting next to the dog when it lashed out, without provocation, and bit off his nose and swallowed it. The animal was euthanized and the nose was recovered from its stomach. Matthew’s since been recovering in a Louisville hospital, after his nose was reattached. The owners of the dog explain the dog had never shown signs of aggression before.
