Judge Judy Selling Manhattan Apartment For $9 Million [Photos]

Judge Judy and her husband are selling their Manhattan apartment for $9 million.

That price will get you a 3,000 square foot, two bedroom, and two and a half bathroom apartment on Fifth Avenue. The judge — whose real name is Judith Sheindlin — and husband Jerry have also converted a wood paneled dining room into a library, according to RadarOnline.

Judge Judy originally bought the apartment for about $6.7 million in 2009. According to RealtyToday, the apartment is on the eleventh floor of the Sherry Netherlands complex. Judge Judy also has a penthouse in Naples, Florida, and a nine bedroom mansion in Greenwich.

How can the judge afford those properties, you ask? It certainly helps that she is one of the highest-paid television personalities, pulling in $123,000 per day. Altogether, she makes around $45 million a year. While she hasn’t always made that amount, if you take into consideration the fact that Judge Judy has been on the air for 17 seasons, you can see how she has become so wealthy over the years.

Not only is Judge Judy one of the highest-paid TV personalities, but she is also the tenth highest-paid woman in Hollywood, according to Forbes. Those preceding her on the list are singers (Katy Perry, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga), a supermodel (Gisele Bundchen) and fellow TV personalities (Oprah and Ellen DeGeneres). Forbes even called Judge Judy “the queen of syndicated shows” now that Oprah is no longer in syndication. Currently, her closest rival in syndication is The Big Bang Theory.
