A Swedish woman reportedly threw a pan of sausages at a man during a recent argument.
Authorities said that the 50-year-old woman and the man were engaged in a heated exchange of words when the assault took place. According to UPI, the suspect allegedly picked up a pan of sausages and flung it towards the man.
Police also explained that the woman had threatened to murder the 67-year-old man prior to throwing the sausages at him in threatening manner. Although the pan reportedly missed the man, some of the food and grease splashed on him during the incident. The victim didn’t require medical treatment for his injuries.
The Huffington Post reports that the food contained in the pan was Falukorv, a kind of Swedish sausage. Fortunately for the man, he wasn’t seriously wounded during the confrontation.
For throwing the pan full of food and grease at the man, the woman was arrested for attempted assault and making illegal threats. The victim said he intends to press charges against the assailant for flinging the sausages at him during their disagreement.
Swedish media reports that the man is looking to be compensated for his ruined trousers.
The Local describes the Swedish sausage as follows:
“Falukorv is a traditional Swedish sausage, usually made with a mixture of grated pork, beef, or veal, together with potato starch flour and spices. The sausage’s name comes from the town of Falun in central Sweden, where the falukorv has history stretching back to the 16th century among workers at the local copper mine. The sausage is a popular ingredient in many a Swedish dish, and is often served with potato, macaroni or beans.”
Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time someone has used sausage during an assault. The Seattle Times reports that Massachusetts man pleaded not guilty to attacking a cyclist with sausage links and a wrench before making off with his victim’s bike.
