Happy 33rd Birthday To Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel celebrated her 33rd birthday today by filming scenes for her hugely popular television show New Girl.

Deschanel spent Thursday surrounded by cats and then sprinting through Los Angeles’ streets wearing a navy blue skirt and coat alongside dark tights with a purple top and flat shoes.

One scene that was filmed even appeared to show Deschanel’s character, Jessica Day, breaking up a fight between Max Greenfield’s Schmidt and Jake M. Johnson’s Nick, which even saw a waste bin being knocked to the ground in the dispute.

Deschanel took to Instagram to share memories of her special day, showing off an image of several cats across a car bonnet alongside the caption, “Today I turned 33 and I worked with a bunch of cats. Dreams apparently DO come true.”

Then alongside another picture of a cat, she noted, “My costar today.” Deschanel, who is an avid fan of various social networking sites, was constantly taking to her phone and adding updates to her day.

When she was in her dressing room, Zooey shared an image of herself in a robe alongside her co-star, Greenfield, plus she wrote, “Surprise! (With iamgreenfield).”

Deschanel has turned into one of America’s most beloved actresses after her appearances on FOX’s show. On Sunday night though she lost out to Lena Dunham, who went on to scoop the Golden Globe award for the best actress in a television comedy for her appearances in HBO’s Girls.
