Withings Smart Kid Scale Now Available For Sale

The Withings Smart Kid Scale is now available for sale in the United States. The connected baby and toddler scale allows parents to accurately chart their child’s growth through an internet connected scale that offers desktop and mobile charting.

According to Withings:

“The Smart Kid Scale is the ideal device to help parents start their kids off on the right track to a future long-term healthy lifestyle. Obesity affects 17% (approximately 12.5 million) of all children between the ages of 2 and 19 in the United States, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Also according to the CDC, this number has tripled since 1980. These numbers are a true indication of the importance of parents monitoring and tracking the weight of their children at an early age- even from infancy.”

The scale features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity which transfers information to the scales Withings Baby Companion application for iOS and Android based devices.

The Withings Baby Companion has also been designed to allow parents to record a child’s height so they can examine their child’s growth compared to other children their age. Parents can also keep track of feeding times including breastfeeding times and length of breastfeeding. Bottle fed babies can be tracked by the ounce.

The Withings Smart Kid Scale is available from infancy through eight years old and features a bi-fold design for each storage and travel. The baby basket can be easily removed once the child has outgrown the basket.
