‘Barney The Dinosaur’ And Attempted Murder: Creator’s Son Arrested For Shooting Man In Chest

Patrick Leach, the 27-year-old son of Barney The Dinosaur creator Sheryl Leach, was arrested in Agoura Hills, California on charges of attempted murder.

According to reports at According Newspapers, Leach shot was the man in the chest on January 9 in Malibu, California.

Police say they arrested Patrick after they collected enough information to prove his guilt.

Officials are still not sure what motive Patrick would have for attempting to kill the 49-year-old man.

The victim is still being treated at UCLA hospital where he is recovering from his wounds.

According to witnesses, a black SUV was spotted leaving the location of the gunfire. Later in the day, the SUV was spotted by investigators on Kanan Road just south of Cornell Road in Agoura Hills. Police officers conducted a traffic stop at which time they arrested Leach.

Barney & Friends was created by Patrick’s mom when she attempted to find a way to keep her son quite as they drove around in the family car. Barney would later go on to become a billion dollar success and one of the top rated children’s programs of all time.
