Fox Hires Kucinich As Regular Contributor

The Fox News Channel has hired Dennis Kucinich to be a regular contributor on the network.

The former Democratic presidential candidate will make his debut on Thursday night on The O’Reilly Factor.

Kucinich, who ran for president in 2004 and 2008, lost his bid to be re-elected to the House of Representatives last year. Kucinich was elected Mayor of Cleveland at the age of 31 and served in congress for 16 years.

Kucinich said:

“Through 16 years in Congress and two presidential campaigns, Fox News has always provided me with an opportunity to share my perspective with its enormous viewership … I look forward to a continuation of our relationship, this time as a Fox News contributor.”

Roger Ailes, the chairman of Fox News, added:

“I’ve always been impressed with Rep. Kucinich’s fearlessness and thoughtfulness about important issues. His willingness to take a stand from his point of view makes him a valuable voice in our country’s debate.”

Fox News is viewed by many as a strongly conservative network which makes Kucinich a bit of a strange pick for the network. According to Politico, Kucinich was one of the House’s most liberal members.

What do you think of Fox News hiring Dennis Kucinich.
