Sirius XM Radio Announces the Launch of Miles Davis Radio Channel



siriusxm-radioNew York, NY (CNS) – Sirius XM Radio has announced the launch of a new 24-hour commercial-free channel devoted to the music of jazz legend Miles Davis. The Miles Davis Radio will run on a limited basis from November 20 to 25 on Sirius channel 72 and XM channel 70.

Miles Davis Radio will be hosted by the trumpeter’s son Erin Davis, his nephew drummer Vince Wilburn Jr., and legendary bassist Marcus Miller.

It will feature music from the late jazz icon’s extensive catalog, including over one hundred albums. It will showcase Davis’ never before heard soundtrack for the 1986 film “Wise Guys,” composed by Robert Irving III.

There will also be interviews with former Davis band members and various guests, such as Jimmy Cobb, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Monty Alexander, Carlos Santana, Ron Carter, and Quincy Jones among many others.
