Megan Fox Believes In Miracle Healing, Speaking In Tongues

Megan Fox is a bit of a conundrum. The new mother revealed in a recent interview with Esquire that she’s trying to shed her “blockbuster bombshell” image, and talked a bit about her faith which is kind of a new subject for her, but not really. You’ll see.

Fox admitted that she doesn’t really want to be famous anymore (which is fine, because she hasn’t really been for a while anyway) and that she’s going to get her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed from her right arm. Iconic though Marilyn was, learning more about the woman beyond the pop culture image informed Fox’s decision, reports CNN.

“She wasn’t powerful at the time. She was sort of like Lindsay,” Fox said, referring to Lindsay Lohan. “She was an actress who wasn’t reliable, who almost wasn’t insurable … She had all the potential in the world, and it was squandered. I’m not interested in following in those footsteps.”

Now that she’s a mother, Fox is re-thinking her career as well. She said that she’s shifting more toward comedic, family-friendly roles, and talked about her Christian faith.

“I have seen magical, crazy things happen. I’ve seen people be healed. Even now, in the church I go to, during Praise and Worship I could feel that I was maybe getting ready to speak in tongues, and I’d have to shut it off because I don’t know what that church would do if I started screaming out in tongues in the back,” Fox confessed.

Fox said that it may sound crazy, but that her faith really just boils down to feeling safe, reports the LA Times.

“You have to understand, there I feel safe,” Fox admitted. “I was raised to believe that you’re safe in God’s hands. But I don’t feel safe with myself.”

Speaking in tongues and miracle healing might not be the most fashionable beliefs (though some studies show that such faith makes you more emotionally stable). Still, I can’t help but give Megan Fox some props for boldly standing up for them, controversial though they may be.

Furthermore, despite her sexually charged public image (which she played into throughout her career), have you noticed that Megan Fox pretty much stays out of trouble?

Like I said. Conundrum.
