Lance Armstrong, Oprah Winfrey: First Cliffhanger Clip Arrives [Video]

Most of the civilized world already knows that Lance Armstrong admitted to using to performance-enhancing drugs in his Oprah Winfrey interview , but they don’t know how he confessed —or why.

That’s all about to change.

Ahead of the airing of the highly anticipated — and now, two-part — Winfrey-Armstrong confessional, the first teaser for the interview has now arrived online.

Following Oprah Winfrey’s tantalizing comments on CBS This Morning when she revealed that Armstrong “did not come clean in the manner I had expected,” millions will undoubtedly tune in to see exactly what she meant.

Which is possibly exactly why the 58-year-old veteran television host said it.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Winfrey’s grilling of the former seven-time Tour De France winner was taped on Monday in a hotel in Austin, Texas, near to Armstrong’s home there. The interview lasted a full two and a half hours.

Despite Winfrey’s admission that she didn’t get through the 112 questions she brought to their meeting, she told CBS This Morning that the “most important” questions were asked — and more crucially, answered.

Billed as a “no holds barred” face-off, the disgraced former cyclist is currently under massive pressure from not just the US Anti-Doping Agency, World Doping Agency, possibly the US Justice Department, but also multiple lawsuits.

In the short clip released today, Winfrey is seen and heard saying:

“We agreed there would be no conditions on this interview and that this would be an open field. So here we go.”

And that’s where the clip ends. Talk about a cliffhanger.

Armstrong’s interview will air Thursday, Jan. 17 from 9-10:30 p.m. ET, and Friday, Jan.18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on OWN. The interview will be simultaneously streamed live worldwide both nights on Oprah.com.

Watch it here. Will you be tuning in on Thursday and Friday?.
