Michelle Wie has finally delivered on years of promise by landing her first LPGA Tour Event.

Wie won the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Mexico of the back of a final round of three under par (69) for a tournament total of 13 under par (275) to win by two shots from Paula Creamer.

Wie, seemingly a veteran of the sport despite only being 20, qualified for her first USGA tournament at age 10 and became the youngest winner of the US Women’s Amateur public links and the youngest to qualify for a LPGA tour event.

Wie turned professional in 2005 and was ranked as the 2nd best women’s golfer in the world briefly in 2006. In May 2006 she became first female medalist in a local qualifier for the Men’s U.S. Open.
