Megan Fox Quits Twitter After One Week

Megan Fox amassed more than 250,000 Twitter followers since joining the social networking site January 3. But despite her popularity, one week later the “Transformers” actress is planning to deactivate her account.

Fox, 26, made the announcement in a January 10 Facebook post addressed to her 33 million subscribers:

“Some of you may or may not have noticed by now that my Twitter account has been shut down. I thought that 2013 might be the year that I finally blossomed into a social networking butterfly, but as it turns out, I still hate it. Love you guys but I will just never be that girl. Facebook is as much as I can handle. I’m sorry.”

Fox couldn’t resist letting her fans know she simply couldn’t adjust to the public forum.

During Fox’s stay on Twitter, she gave “This Is 40” a promo, she showed off her “Star Wars” memorabilia in an amusing tweet, and cheered on the Los Angeles Lakers. She also tweeted a picture from her childhood, featuring herself and her family dressed up like cowboys, says US Magazine.

Apparently, 13 tweets were all the “Jennifer’s Body” star could handle before deciding it just wasn’t for her.

But rest assured, Fox fans, because Megan isn’t leaving the social media world for good, according to E! Online. She’s sticking with Facebook at this point.

Some of us are wondering if Shia Labeouf could convince her to stay, but he might need some giant alien robots to make his point. Yeah, that was a “Transformers” reference.

Either way, Fox will always have her fans to cheer her on.
