The People’s Choice Awards honors all three major media formats, excluding video games, with votes by fans determining the winners. Kaley Cuoco will return to host this year’s People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night for the second consecutive year. The 2013 People’s Choice Awards airs Wednesday, January 9, at 9 PM EST on CBS.
In addition, the show will feature performances by Christina Aguilera, Jason Aldean and Alicia Keys. According to ENSTARS, Sandra Bullock will be the first recipient of a new award called “Favorite Humanitarian” for her philanthropic efforts, which include her commitment to helping those in need in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
Producer Mark Burnett told Broadway World that he feels honored to be producing the People’s Choice Awards:
“I am so thrilled and fortunate to be once again producing this year’s People’s Choice Awards. Passionate and devoted fans are what make us successful and it is an honor to give them a chance to celebrate their favorites in entertainment.”

“One of the greatest aspects of the People’s Choice Awards is that fans have a say throughout the entire process. From categories to nominees to winners, the people are in charge. We’re excited to once again empower the fans to create the show they want to see on January 9.”
