Nikon Uses Dancers, Mad Scientists And Flowers To Showcase New Products At CES 2013

Tech specs can tell you a lot about a camera but there’s nothing better than getting to use it first hand. Nikon provided a wide range of cameras, and a wide range of settings, for people to play around with today at CES in Las Vegas.

The camera company had its full line of imaging solutions on hand, including new products like the Nikon D5200 D-SLR, and new Nikon 1 cameras, for attendees to try at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Nikon set up several stages with different lighting, movement and color to allow photography enthusiasts to see what a Nikon can do.

The camera company used dancers, models, mad scientists and a field of flowers to demonstrate its cameras capabilities.

Bo Kajiwara, Vice President of Marketing, Planning and Customer Experience, said:

“The Consumer Electronics Show provides Nikon with an amazing opportunity to demonstrate our latest innovations and cutting-edge products to a global audience, including our recently announced Nikon D5200 and Nikon 1 J3, which offer versatility and sharing capabilities that empower photographers worldwide to capture and share better still images and HD video.”

Here’s a look at what Nikon had on display today at CES.

Nikon also had professional photographers on hand to demonstrate some of its top end cameras. Here’s a picture of the “Art of Posing” demonstration.

In addition to the elaborate displays, Nikon also made a few big announcements.

The new Nikon D5200 will hit the United States by the end of January and two new Nikon 1 cameras, the Nikon 1 J3 and the Nikon 1 S1, will be available by February 2013.
