Fox Renews ‘Bones’ For A Ninth Season

Are you a fan of Booth and Bones? Do you want to see more hi-jinks between the new parents and partners in crime? Well, it looks like fans of the show are getting their wish a little earlier than usual. FOX has confirmed during their announcement that Bones is being renewed for a ninth season.

Kevin Reilly, who’s the chairman of Entertainment over at Fox Broadcasting Company had this to say about the series starring David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel:

“After more than 150 episodes, BONES continues to be one of television’s most dynamic and consistent dramas. We at FOX, along with millions of zealous fans, look forward to seeing where the incredible creative team takes the series next season.”

Bones is a dark comedy procedural show that centers around a forensic anthropologist and a sometimes doofy FBI agent. The unlikely duo, who are now in love with a child take on homicide cases. Bones was created by Hart Hanson, with Stephen Nathan, Hanson, Ian Toynton, Barry Josephson, and Jonathan Collier as executive producers. In addition to Boreanaz and Deschanel the series also stars TJ Thyne, Michaela Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and John Francis Daley.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Fox gave Kiefer Sutherland’s Touch, and a midseason show called The Following limited runs. However, Bones is the only scripted Fox drama that is guaranteed a full run for next season.

The future of Bones was somewhat uncertain earlier on in the year when it was said that David Boreanaz was done with the show, but Stephen Nathan, was positive David wanted to come back saying,”He loves his show, and he’s better than ever. I think he wants him to come back as much as we want him to come back. It doesn’t seem to be an issue.”
