Motorola Milestone Heading To Telus In Early 2010

It’s official! The Motorola Milestone is headed to Canadian wireless carrier Telus sometime in early 2010. The device, which has recently been released in Europe is basically the Motorola Droid with the addition of a multi-touch interface.

The Milestone will feature Google Android 2.0, a sliding qwerty keyboard and 3G+ network access on the Telus wireless network. Unfortunately the units are not slated to include Google turn-by-turn mapping since the program is only in the beta testing stage in the U.S.

No word yet on a specific release date or even an estimated contract price, but knowing how Canada’s wireless carriers operate I assume it will be cheaper than the European model, but with a longer 3-year contract period to supplement the pricing.

It will also be interesting to see if Telus offers any type of tether package with the device, much like the packages currently announced by Verizon.
