Nokia Recalls 14 Million Cellphone Chargers that Pose Electric Shock Risk
Helsinki, Finland (AHN) – Some 14 million Nokia cellphone chargers with loose plastic coverings are being recalled because of potential electric shock risk to users.
The Finnish mobile phone maker announced the recall Monday and said affected users can exchange the defective chargers with new ones.
The charger models being recalled are AC-3E, AC-3U and AC-4U manufactured by Chinese supplier BYD Co. Ltd. in April.
There were no reports of injury caused by the charger models, according to Nokia.
