Evony advertised with porn models
Adverts for the notorious “free to play” strategy title Evony are ubiquitous and tacky. We already know this. We know that Evony’s makers use images of scantily-clad females in their adverts, cut from stock photos, to market the game – even if said females have nothing whatsoever to do with Evony itself.
Then again, at least previous adverts featured girls in could-almost-be-authentic medieval/fantasy clothes that chimed with the setting of the game. Now, they’re not even trying. Now, we get porn models in bikinis in an Evony advert.
The ad for Evony you see above was snapped by Negative Gamer, which recognized the two models from its a copy of low-budget porno Girls playing with Girls 102 (here’s the Amazon listing). Strictly speaking, these models don’t actually appear in Girls playing with Girls 102; as the single user review over on Amazon puts it:
“The girls on the cover are not the girls on the DVD. The women on the DVD look like they are on a 3 year meth binge, toothless and homely.”
Charming. And even so, ouch. A bit of an oversight there from whichever work experience lackey designs Evony’s impossibly rubbish adverts.
