Kelly Clarkson Gay Rumors: Singer Claims She’s Hit On By The ‘Hottest Girls’

Kelly Clarkson recently explained that she is still battling gay rumors despite being engaged to boyfriend Brandon Blackstock.

However, Clarkson doesn’t seem to mind the endless internet speculation that she secretly lives life as a closet lesbian. According to Yahoo! News, the singer started facing these rumors after she spent six years without a love interest.

During a recent interview with the folks at Cosmopolitan Magazine, Kelly Clarkson opened up about the gay rumors and explained that she’s never insulted when someone thinks she’s a lesbian.

The singer explained:

“People think, ‘Oh, she’s been single for too long.’ That’s kind of an insult to the gay community. Being single doesn’t mean you’re gay. But I’m never insulted by it, obviously. I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever. Oh my god, if I were a lesbian, I would be so in luck. But it’s just not my thing. I’ve always battled for the boys’ team.”

VH1 explains that Kelly Clarkson is frequently put off by the guys who hit on her at shows. She said that most of the “horrible guys” have incredible self-esteem, while the “good ones” aren’t very confident at all.

She also stated that her recent weight loss was a result of smaller portions, exercise, and the desire to “look good” when she’s messing around with her fiancee.

Clarkson said:

“I was working with a trainer, and she said, ‘You’d be amazed the amount of weight you can drop by halving your portions. I know it sounds crazy, but do it for two weeks and watch what happens.’ I just cut back my portions, I stopped eating late at night, and I work out a little more than I used to. I think it happens when you get really busy as well. But when I’m on my off-time — girl, those 18 might come back.”
