Blake Griffin Mocked By Golden State After Bricked Three Point Attempt [Video]

Clippers star forward Blake Griffin was on the receiving end of a host of heckling Wednesday after he missed badly on a three pointer in his team’s 115-94 loss to the Golden State Warriors.

With a little over five minutes to play in the third period, Griffin — known more for his gravity-defying dunks than his shooting — stepped behind the arc on the left wing and let loose a three point attempt that clanged off the side of the backboard and out of bounds.

Griffin’s super-brick, just his 11th three-pointer attempted this season, brought an exceptional amount of jubilation from the Warriors bench who reacted as if they’d just won the NBA Finals.

The Golden State fans eventually picked up on the taunting and started in on Griffin as well.

Unfortunately for the Clippers, Blake’s missed triple exemplified the team’s inability to consistently make baskets for the past two games.

After snagging the NBA’s longest winning streak (since Boston rolled off 19 in a row in 2008), the Clippers have struggled to shoot the ball well in losses at Denver and Golden State on consecutive nights.

The Clippers shot 38.5 percent in Tuesday’s 92-78 loss at Denver and 36.4 percent at Golden State, ending a difficult 24 hours for the franchise.

“We just kind of hit a little bit of a wall,” said Griffin, who finished with just 10 points and six rebounds in the contest. “They completely outplayed us tonight in almost every area.”

The Clippers (25-8) will try to match a franchise record with their 11th straight home victory when they host the Lakers (15-16) on Friday night.
