Live TV is great. Meredith Vieira, who was filling in for Kathie Lee Gifford on Today, accidentally dropped the s-bomb after she dropped one of her interview cards.
USA Today reports that Vieira was getting ready for an interview with Al Roker when she dropped one of her cards.
Vieira said “oh sh*t” before covering her mouth and gasping.
Co-host Hoda Kotb apologized for the incident, through laughter, while Al Roker celebrated Vieira’s slip.
Vieira and Kotb have been a little loose lipped over the last few days.
On Wednesday’s show, Kotb allegedly said “sh*t” after a little dog wiggled out of her arms.
Matt Lauer teased Kotb earlier in the broadcast, saying: ”No cursing today?”
Kotb insisted that she didn’t curse on Wednesday’s show, but Meredith definitely let the S-word slip this morning.
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time that the classy host let a curse word slip on live TV. In 2010, Vieira was filming a segment about a driving simulation when she let the curse word fly after crashing.
Vieira’s cursing may not be what the network is hoping for from its host but at least Meredith didn’t pull a Kathie Griffin and pretend to give Al Roker oral sex.

I agree with Jeff Glen….she's a great woman representing us in the media. I thought there was something actually important when Yahoo News had headline as "Meredith Viera…." damn I thought she died….Way to Go Meredith! I love the sh.t word along with millions of other Americans!
