Brandy Shows Off Engagement Ring On Vacation In Hawaii [Photo]

Brandy isn’t afraid of showing off the engagement ring she just received from her new fiance, Ryan Press.

The Grammy-winner showed off the engagement ring when she posed for pictures with some fans and then proceeded to watch a beach volleyball game.

The singer is currently on vacation in Hawaii with music executive Ryan Press, who apparently popped the all-important question earlier this week, reports The New York Daily News.

Brandy also wasn’t afraid of showing off her fantastic beach body for the camera, dressed in a gold, purple, and turquoise bikini complete with a belly chain to accentuate her toned tummy.

The marriage to Press will be the singer’s first, though she has a 10-year-old daughter, Sy’ria, with her ex boyfriend Robert Smith. The singer sat down for an interview with Vibe Vixen last month and talked about previous troubles with relationships and marriage. Brandy stated:

“I got really close to being married and it didn’t happen. After that, I dated a little bit and it was always something that just wasn’t connecting with love and me. I think it was because I was looking for love to do something for me: to make me happy, fill a void, make me feel complete, and all of these things don’t come from another, it comes from a love of self.”

She went on to say, “I didn’t understand that at the time. I really had to confront all of that. I said a prayer and I waited … and I saw Ryan.” The Daily Mail adds that the former Moesha star wasn’t afraid to tell people that Press was the one, even before they became engaged.

The engagement also comes at the end of a busy past few months for Brandy, who released a new album, Two Eleven, in October. She is also set to star in the upcoming Tyler Perry movie Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.
