The Rock’s Return To WWE Television Has Been Revealed

At WrestleMania 32, The Rock made his yearly WWE return on the grandest stage of them all. At the show, The People’s Champion was confronted by The Wyatt Family, had an impromptu match with Erick Rowan, and shared the ring with John Cena. The Rock hasn’t been seen on WWE television since that appearance and he also missed the grandest stage of them all earlier this year in Orlando for the first time in six years.

His filming schedule has kept Dwayne Johnson extremely busy and he’s more successful than he ever has been, but the WWE Universe still appreciates an appearance from The Rock every so often, especially for a major event like WrestleMania. Most people are expecting his next appearance to do on the grandest stage of them all next year in New Orleans. However, the fans won’t have to wait that long to see The Great One.

WWE officials are hard at work making the 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw as major an event as it can possibly be. Thus far, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and several other WWE legends have already been confirmed for the show in January. Now, it has been reported that The People’s Champion is expected to make his long-awaited return to WWE programming during the event as well, but there could be a catch.

Unfortunately, there don’t seem to be any creative plans for The Rock to do anything big if he does actually make an appearance during the show. He’s unlikely to do anything physical. In fact, there is a good chance that he may only appear via satellite and won’t actually be at the Barclays Center or the Manhattan Center that night. However, the fans will be happy to see him and it could foreshadow to something much bigger.

Heading into WrestleMania 34, The Rock is one of the big names being rumored for a WWE Hall of Fame induction. It’s only a matter of time before he receives the honor from WWE officials, but the question has been if The Great One will be available to appear in New Orleans for multiple days. For now, all that WWE fans can do is hope The Rock will be able to attend the 25th anniversary of Raw because he would make it just a little more fun.
