Adele & Pippa Middleton Use Sirtfood Diet To Lose 7 Pounds in 7 Days: 4 Steps To Celebrity Weight Loss


Have you heard about the Sirtfood Diet? It’s the trendy new weight-loss plan that helps dieters shed seven pounds in seven days. And with celebrities such as Adele and Pippa Middleton flaunting their newly slim bodies as a result of following the hot trend, the Sirtfood Diet may become the weight-loss choice for those already thinking about New Year’s resolutions.

The Sirtfood Diet was created by two nutrition specialists from the U.K., Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten. According to Men’s Health, the weight-loss plan is designed to help the “skinny gene.” It gets its name from the SIRT1 gene, and the Sirtfood Diet even claims to help with concerns such as inflammation and weight gain.

“[The diet promises] to counteract the effects of inflammation and weight gain, as well as aging.”

Aidan and Glen created the Sirtfood Diet to feature foods that activate sirtuin, a protein that helps the metabolism while slowing the process of aging. By eating foods that contain sirtuin, such as green tea, kale, blueberries, salmon, and citrus fruits, dieters lose weight faster.

In addition to boosting weight loss and turning back the clock, the foods on the approved Sirtfood Diet list are full of polyphenols. These antioxidants improve the skin and heart, pointed out Brooke Alpert, a registered dietitian.

People Magazine reported that celebrity trainer Pete Geracimo instructs all of his clients, including Adele and Pippa Middleton, to obey the Sirtfood Diet guidelines. While some celebrities like to flaunt their weight loss on Instagram and discuss exactly how they succeeded in shaping up in interviews, Adele and Pippa have both kept their weight loss wins undercover.

However, trainer Pete Geracimo has been guiding these famous women to follow the steps of the Sirtfood Diet as well as visit the gym regularly.

“The Sirtfood Diet focuses on about 20 ‘wonder foods’ like arugula, celery, cocoa, coffee, red onion and more.”

The program is designed in different phases.

Sirtfood Diet Step One: Green Juice Plus One Meal

Dieters are encouraged to read the book, The Sirtfood Diet, and head to the grocery store. The first three days feature one meal per day plus three green juices.

Those green juices include kale, arugula, ginger, green apple, parsley, lemon, and matcha powder. The meals are flavorful with ingredients such as miso and sesame-glazed tofu with ginger and chili stir-fried greens, as well as shrimp stir-fry with buckwheat noodles.

Sirtfood Diet Step Two: Believe in Buckwheat

Buckwheat is a key element of the diet because of its high level of polyphenols, according to Goggins and Matten.

“[Polyphenols] activate a powerful recycling process in the body which clears out cellular waste and burns fat.”

The two claim that this mechanism involves the “skinny” genes (sirtuin genes), which also are activated by activities such as exercise and fasting.

Sirtfood Diet Step Three: Two Meals Daily Plus Green Juice

After the first three days, the Sirtfood Diet shifts to two meals plus two green juice servings for four days. The first three days provide for a total of 1,000 calories per day, while days four through seven result in totals of 1,500 calories daily. Following those seven days, in which dieters such as Pippa and Adele lost seven pounds, there is a maintenance phase, which is designed to continue weight loss.

The maintenance covers 14 days, with one green juice and three meals daily. Those meals are designed to be high in sirtuin. All of the diet days restrict calories, leading to rapid weight loss, while the maintenance phase provides for more food.

Sirtfood Diet Step Four: Maintenance Sample Menu

With fans such as Adele and Pippa Middleton making the Sirtfood Diet increasingly popular, Men’s Health cautioned that it’s possible to get the benefits of consuming more sirtuin-rich foods without restricting yourself to one meal day.

“There’s nothing wrong with eating more fish, berries, and leafy greens…, and having a green juice that’s low in sugar could be a great addition to an already balanced diet.”

The Food Network also pointed out that Pippa Middleton and Adele have helped to make the Sirtfood Diet so popular, along with the promise of losing seven pounds in seven days. The maintenance element of the plan, as shown by the sample menu below, provides more food while promoting additional weight loss.

  • Breakfast: Soy yogurt with mixed berries, chopped walnuts, and dark chocolate.
  • Lunch: A sirtfood salad made with kale, parsley, celery, apple, walnuts topped with olive oil mixed with lemon juice and ginger.
  • Dinner: Stir-fried prawns with kale and buckwheat noodles.

*Plus one Sirtfood Diet green juice per day.
