Bethenny Frankel Split Won’t Be ‘Nasty Battle’, Says Insider

Bethenny Frankel’s split from husband of two-and-a-half years Jason Hoppy won’t become “a drawn-out, nasty battle” says a source close to the couple.

An insider told In Touch magazine that “there will be no fighting” over custody of their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Bryn. The anonymous source added:

“This won’t be a drawn-out, nasty battle.”

Bravo reality star Frankel announced news of her split from Hoppy in a statement on December 23, following it up with tweets to her 1.1 million followers that revealed she was “heartbroken” over the separation. Frankel wrote:

“I am heartbroken. I am sad. We will work through this as a family.”

Carol Hoppy, mother of Jason, expressed similar sentiments to Celebuzz, and described her son as “a wonderful person”:

“My son is a wonderful, wonderful person. I’m sad at what he is having to go through just now because he is a great guy.”

Bethenny Frankel’s eagerness for a quick divorce is fueled by a desire to make the split as painless as possible for her toddler daughter. In her official statement, the star said:

“We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority.”

Rumors of a split between Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have been circulating for some time. Indeed, the Skinnygirl founder herself seems to have forecast marital woe back in March when she revealed in an episode of Bethenny Ever After:

“We’re off course… That’s what we’re doing in our lives: we keep having the same argument over and over again. Jason thinks that it is a metaphor for the fact that we keep going around in circles in our relationship that we keep having the same argument over and over again.”

In a tweet on December 23, Frankel thanked her fans for their support over the split:
