Name A Sandwich For Ryan Howard’s World Series: How About The ‘Phil-Awful’?
Philadelphia, PA (AHN) – Ryan Howard just may need Subway’s famous Jared to be his friend after the awful postseason the Phillies slugger is enduring.
Howard fanned three times Saturday and four times in game two, both Philly defeats.
If the Phillies don’t rebound to win the series, Howard will take a major, ahem, hit for it.
It’s been an incredibly poor performance for Howard, the former MVP and a ‘hero’ (sorry, had to say it) of the team’s 2008 title win.
It’s almost unthinkable to replace a man who had 45 homers and 141 RBI in another stellar season.
With his fast-sinking .154 batting average, however, there may only be one answer to get the Phils offense going:
A sub, and I don’t mean the sandwich.
