‘Boruto’ Episode 29: Will Kagura Go Against Chojuro And Boruto?

Fans can definitely expect the upcoming Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 29 to be one action-packed installment. An exciting clash between the Shizuma-led new Seven Swordsmen of the Mist and Boruto seems to be inevitable. What is even more interesting is how Kagura will react when the battle happens.

Kagura Receives Hiramekarei

One of the highlights in Boruto Episode 28, which can be viewed on Crunchyroll, was Chojuro finally turning over the Hiramekarei to Kagura, officially making Kagura as one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. However, it was the opportunity that the rebellious Shizuma had been waiting for. Just minutes after Kagura got the sword, he was immediately approached by Shizuma, who revealed his plan to start a war with Konoha by killing Boruto.

While Kagura greatly respects Shizuma and can’t refuse his order to join Shizuma’s group, he made a deal to spare Boruto’s life. Thus, while Boruto is still alive, it seems that whatever plans Shizuma has will be put into motion in the coming Boruto Episode 29.

Will Kagura Blindly Follow Shizuma?

Kagura will be placed in a rather awkward position in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 29. While he has become a pacifist loyal to Chojuro, it seems that Shizuma’s hold on him is just too strong that Kagura is willing to do everything he orders even if it is against his personal convictions. Thus, it is highly likely that Shizuma will manipulate Kagura’s emotions to pit him against his master, Chojuro, and his friend, Boruto.

And this is where it gets interesting. Though he only knew Boruto for a short time, it seems that Naruto’s son has already made an impact on him. In fact, he even revealed that it was Boruto who convinced him to accept Hiramekarei from Chojuro and join the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. But is Boruto’s bond with Kagura strong enough for the latter to stand up against Shizuma’s rebellion?

Suigetsu Appears

Fans are likewise intrigued with the appearance of Sasuke’s former teammate during his days with the Taka group. Yes, Suigetsu was briefly seen lurking around, but immediately disappeared when he sensed that Mitsuki was on his trail.

In a Reddit discussion, fans were wondering how the Mist managed to gather all seven swords. In Naruto Shippuden, two of the swords were in the possession of outsiders. For instance, Suigetsu had the executioner blade Kubikiribocho, while Bee had the Samehada. While it is possible that both gave two swords back to the Hidden Mist after the war, Suigetsu’s presence raises interesting possibilities considering that it was his dream to collect all seven swords.

Boruto Episode 29 will air sometime this week. Stay tuned for updates.
