Regen Reverb Solar-Powered iPod Dock Gets Revealed

Regen Reverb Solar Powered iPod Charger

60 watts of solar power goodness isn’t the easiest thing to crank out, in fact the Regen Revert Solar-Powered iPod Dock requires 3 feet of height to achieve that goal and it does so with a sleek design that blows other chargers out of the water.

The concept is cool, but the results are less than remarkable with a full charge taking 20 hours of full sun exposure or 40 hours of indoor lighting, while music playback will last around 4.5 hours with full volume or 12 hours at a normal level.

If you simply can’t wait to charge the Reverb system so you can pass on the devices full charge you can always plug your Regen unit into an AC outlet to give it a full charge, but then why would you have spent $2,229 for the unit in the first place.

Actually at that price I’ll just buy a new iPod every couple weeks when my battery dies. [Gizmodo]
