Bethenny Frankel: Therapist Allegedly Told The Star To Leave Her Husband

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have officially split, and her therapist allegedly advised the former Real Housewives of New York City star to make the-changing decision. Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel were married two years ago and have a toddler daughter named Bryn.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Frankel initially denied online rumors that she and Hoppy were headed for divorce. A Radar Online source report that the Skinny Girl entrepreneur went to see a therapist for advice on her marriage. The therapist supposedly recommended a trail separation for the couple.

The Radar Online source had this to say about the Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy split:

“Bethenny was adamantly against formally separating from Jason because she viewed it as giving up on the marriage, and she just isn’t ready to do that. It was her therapist that recommended the trial separation to give the couple some breathing room, and experience life without each other on a daily basis.”

The couple allegedly spent about six months apart recently, with Bethenny and Bryn living in the Hamptons while Jason was at home in New York City, according to the Miami Herald. The source also maintains that Hoppy felt his wife can be a control freak and Frankel believes her hubby is too critical.

Anyone who watched even one Real Housewives of New York City episode featuring his Bethenny Frankel would have realized how focused she is becoming a business success. Control freak might be a bit too harsh of an assessment. Dedicated to her career seems like a reasonable character critique based upon what viewers saw on the reality television show each week.

Jason Hoppy appeared to be a devoted family man and father when he was shown on the Bravo reality show. According to a statement released by the former RHONY star, Bethenny respects Jason’s parenting commitment, and the former couple will place Bryn’s welfare first and work together to parent their beautiful daughter.
