Terrell Owens Ditches Another Home, Sells Georgia Mansion For A Loss

Terrell Owens has sold his Georgia mansion for way less money than his original asking price. The home marks the third sale for Owens, who recently also let go of homes in Dallas, Texas and Miami, Florida.

Unable to obtain a new home with an NFL franchise, Terrell Owens has been in financial trouble for the better part of the last several years.

Owens’ Georgia home was originally listed in 2010 for $1.5 million but just sold for a measly $694,000.

Terrell purchased the Atlanta mansion in in 2000. At the time, he was playing with the San Francisco 49ers. The home features 7,694-square-feet which includes six bedrooms, eight baths, a basketball court, a gym, a rec room, a resort style swimming pool, and a massive home theater.

The home sale is believed to have come with a $150,000 loss.

In the meantime, Terrell Owens has not had a good run following his days in the NFL. Last season he joined on to an arena football team but was eventually fired for failing to meet his public appearance commitments.

Even after years away from the NFL, Terrell Owens continues to look for his next professional football job while at the same time attempting to figure out how he will pay his various child support payments.

Are you surprised by Terrell Owens’ fall from grace both professionally or financial? Or is he just another statistic in a long line of financially unstable NFL retirees?
