PressTV: Israeli Death Squads In USA Killed Kids At Newtown,CT
Did Israeli Death Squads in the USA kill the kids at Newtown, Connecticut? No, this is not an Onion headline. PressTV is a “serious” media news outlet based out of Iran. They cite as their source a supposed Republican who claims the school shooting in the USA was caused by Israel as revenge against the US and President Obama. We can’t even make this stuff up…
When I first read the headline Israeli death squads involved in Sandy Hook bloodbath: Intelligence analyst posted on PressTV my first thought roughly went as follows: “Ding, ding, ding…we have a winner for the most craziest conspiracy theory involving the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting.” But then I read the article and looked around on the internet to realize they were dead serious.
PressTV starts off by phrasing their narrative with this gem:
“Days later, the Sandy Hook Massacre, the iconic slaughter of twenty small children, is now looking like a terrorist attack, not a ‘murder suicide.’ Was ‘lone gunman’ Adam Lanza a ‘patsy,’ the same word Lee Harvey Oswald used to describe himself before being “silenced” in November 1963?”
The full text of the story calls into doubt many of the accounts relayed by police and Sandy Hook survivors. They claim these are one of many “irregularities noted in what now seems to be more of a cover-up than investigation.” The thrust of their article is the accusation by supposed Republican Michael Harris, former candidate for governor of Arizona and GOP campaign finance chairman. He claims there was an Israeli “terrorist attack in Connecticut”:
“The facts are now becoming obvious. This is another case where Israel has chosen violence and terrorism where their bullying in Washington has failed. Israel believes the US ‘threw them under the bus,’ particularly after the recent Gaza war, allowing Israel to be humiliated in the United Nations. Their response was to stage a terror attack, targeting America in the most hideous and brutal way possible, in fact, an Israeli ‘signature attack,’ one that butchers children, one reminiscent of the attacks that killed so many children in Gaza?”
The scary part is that PressTV is considered an official source of information in Iran and thus reflects the thinking of the Iranian government. If this is what PressTV is saying that means they want the citizens of Iran to perceive the world, and specifically Israel, in this manner. Many people in that part of the world may be limited in what media outlets they are allowed to watch so many may come to believe this story is the truth.
I only had to scroll down to the comments section to see this was true. As an example, one comment said the school shooting was “definitely a hitman job and pre-planned” by the supposed Israeli death squads. Another simply said, “Seems legit.”
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the Sandy Hook shooting has spawned a dirty laundry list of conspiracy theories. The most popular being that there was a second shooter (which was a valid concern for a short time), a potential LIBOR scandal connection to the father of Adam Lanza, Robbie Parker was an actor, and that the Federal government under Obama faked the attack in order to use it as an excuse to ban guns.
Iran isn’t the only ones to do some major political spinning. If you look at the Daily Kos they compare Fox News to this article by PressTV:
“As consumers of news it is important that we understand what is being peddled. Same as information coming from FOX.”
Seriously?
Claiming that Israeli death squads in the USA are killing the kids at Newtown, Connecticut is obvious nonsense, but are you as sick as I am of everyone trying to using this terrible event to further their political agendas?
